When you start to let your dreams be part of your intention you will see that things start to fall in place. You may meet someone at a networking event (that you didn’t even want to attend) that has the exact skill that you are missing to make your project come together. A few days later while you’re waiting at the dentist, you pick up magazine and the feature article is all about writing a business plan specific to your same idea. These are signs that are hitting you hard. You need to pay attention to the messages guiding you. Sometimes the signs are not so obvious….it could be a gut feeling, or instinct that you are onto something great. It takes some time to become confident in your gut feelings. Try them out…..usually if something feels really right, it very likely IS right.

Sadly, most often we realize that all the signs were there guiding us after their time has passed. Fear of change or something bigger than what you’re used to can make you a bit blind to things that are popping up in front of you. If you can look back and determine what some turning points or pivotal moments in your life were, you can probably figure out the signs leading up to those life changing moments. Can you imagine how awesome it would have been to recognize those “smaller” things as they were happening? Maybe that life changing moment in time could have been better, or sooner or different….had you seen those other details too.

Here are some signs that I’ve noted recently.

  1. I always pay attention to the first robin I see in Spring. My Grandmother always phoned me to tell me Spring was here when she saw a robin. It’s a sign that she is still part of my life and that makes me happy.
  2. A long lost friend has “found” me. Completely out of the blue, and completely by surprise. I don’t know why now, and I don’t know where it will lead. I’m sure it’s connected to some part of my future or maybe it will complete some part of my past.
  3. My new neighbour agreed that the hedge between our properties is ugly and good for nothing more than poking you in the eye while cutting the grass. That’s a sign that I should go ahead with the landscaping plan that I’ve been pondering.

These simple signs may not be part of any great dream or goal, but maybe they are and I just don’t know it yet. They definitely are things that help guide me to whatever is next and that’s always important.

What are some of the signs you’ve noticed recently? When you think about it now, you may realize that you were close to missing something important. Share your thoughts with me. I love getting feedback. And here on this site, you’ll get commentluv so don’t forget to leave a link back to your own blog via the commentluv feature here on this site.

Remember, the second step to making your dreams come true is to pay attention to the signs…..let them guide you. If nothing else…… recognize them as the gift they are.

Until next time,

Robin

What is a Dream Anyway?

We all talk about dreaming, but what is a dream anyway?

It can be a daydream that you ponder lazily over and afternoon while nothing else is on your mind. It can be fun or romantic. It can take you to places that you’ve read about or seen in the movies. You might be famous…..singing and dancing on stage while thousands of your fans scream and cheer for more. You’re excited to finish the show because your friends and family have traveled from far away to see this performance, your first sold out show at The Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Maybe it’s an idea the pops into your head, a new business venture or a way to market your product that you’ve never tried. You might discover a cool vehicle that suits you perfectly, perhaps it’s an orange Jeep!  You find yourself thinking “hey, I would like to go on an African safari” and you know that’s totally out of your comfort zone but you have the daydream anyway.

Your dream might be a lofty goal that has seemed just slightly out of reach for a long time. Then suddenly, like a flash of lightning you recognize that it hasn’t been out of reach, it’s just been ever so slightly the wrong dream. Some minor adjustments and “wham” it’s perfect and doable right now.

They are all things that could happen. They’ve happened for other people and they could happen for you too.

If you pay attention to good, good things will happen.

Allow your dreams and ideas to live. They may not be relevant today or even tomorrow but if you are open to the possibility they just might come true.  I call them idea bubbles. They just float around keeping me busy, and excited, and moving forward. Stay open to the possibility. The worst thing you can do is shut down your dreams because they don’t make sense right now. You will know deep down inside when something is in alignment with your future. The right people will show up at the perfect time to help guide you to succeed. If the idea bubble is there, it will get bigger as it connects with the others. In its time it will float to the surface and there you have it….another dream comes true!

It may sounds like a huge leap of faith without a guarantee of success. And it is, in a way.  Have faith in yourself and your knowledge that you really do know what’s best and right for you.

The first step to making your dreams come true is simply to dream…..and don’t put limits on them, anything is possible. It’s just a dream after all!

Share your dream with me! I love getting feedback. Don’t forget to leave a link back to your own blog too, via the commenluv feature here on the site.

Until next time,
